I write when my mood like a breeze fans my soul
When emotions like juicy melons fill my soulful bowl
I write when feelings turn my veins into flowing rivers
Rivers of blood desirous of pace in the pumping drivers
I write when the might of sight and all senses so command
The pressure that powers my pen is the pulsating demand
Demanding!
Commanding!
I write when my spirits dawn at dusk and sink at sunrise
I write when sunset brings dusk to soul and emotions rise
It's when sentiments overwhelm or dissipate that my pen writes
When dangers lurk in shadows and dare devils dance on my rights
I write with greater might when my heart is full, my soul beseeching
For it's only then that downpours of words shall grant what I'm seeking
Bringing solace!
To the disconsolate!
